The democrats in CA are achieving their goals with great competence.
If one believes the world is overpopulated then every evil becomes a virtue, everything which makes human existence impossible, a good.
Murder, rape, pedophilia, nihilism, arson, socialism, theft, fraud and burning LA to the ground are all virtues in the Church of Depopulation where destruction is the highest sacrament and mass extermination the greatest good.
There comes a point where it doesn’t matter whether it is deliberate or accidental-letting these people be in charge means death and destruction. I’m not saying it isn’t deliberate, just that there’s no pragmatic difference-past a certain point you have to treat it as deliberate and act accordingly.
I see an arsonist has been arrested. Like others all around the world, by name "Climate Change".
A stooge, one assumes. As per Maui and NC, we are seeing land clearance on behalf of such as Blackrock. It seems two other fires were set at the same time.
Add to that that the Capo Biden clearly wants to do as much damage pre Trump as he can. Like Labour, Party before Country.
Even mein Fuhrer commented on the disparate locations of the 'wildfires caused by global warming' and she has no understanding at all of fighting large conflagrations.
Five separate areas engulfed in locations widely apart from each other. That's not how they work. Why are all the fires within the LA zone?
There doesn't seem to be any further out in the state............
And did anyone else notice anything 'odd' about all those beachfront properties that were consumed by fire ... right on the shores of Malibu Beach? ;o)
This, to my way of thinking, is what happens when you allow cranks to buy matches.

I don't tend to put much credence in conspiracy theories, but I do notice that those who are responsible for failing to maintain adequate natural disaster defence and relief systems are also those who fervently believe in man-made climate change and its associated harms. So on occasions a natural disaster does happen, when a working defence system could've prevented it, and the disaster escalates substantially, when a working relief system could've prevented that too, and then I see the people responsible gleefully pointing to the disaster as evidence of climate change, it certainly strikes me as highly convenient. At the very least, it is absolutely shameless.
Due to ill-conceived environmental policies AND spending on all the usual crap DEI policies that we've seen in the US and Europe. And theowing money at UK unions and healthcare with no strings attached, like contracts that make trains run ontime or force greedy GPs to offer consistent medical services. Not one of the Labour ministers could run a whelk stall on a wet Tuesday. Indeed, why would we think they can lead, inspire, understand or talk sense? They never bloody have in the last half-century. And yes, Tony 'God-given' Blair, I'm looking at you.
You're right about the psychopathic attitude these "leaders" have toward the citizens unlucky enough to live under them. Their city, state and country are not important to them. Rather it's "the world" that matters. Fortunately for the world, these blithering fools are not in charge of it, or it would burn down too.
The parts they are in charge of (the West) is the part burning and suffering. Russians are doing much better. The Chinese of course are actually aligned with and using the western globalists, where they haven’t outright purchased them.
GR8 article! Thanks. Anything by Victor Davis Hanson (VDH) is pure gold. However, he is not a “right wing historian". He is as objective an historian as one could ever find.
Even really left wing Wikipedia describes VDH as “a classicist, military historian, and conservative political commentator”. In reasonable days, he’d be considered centrist. But these are not reasonable days and “woke” has pushed everything out of whack: what used to be centrist is now considered right wing or even extreme right wing.
VDH is a Senior Fellow in Residence in Classics and Military History at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, a professor of Classics Emeritus at California State University, Fresno, and a nationally syndicated columnist. He is also a Distinguished Fellow in History, Hillsdale College, where he teaches courses in military history and classical culture. And he’s a farmer too! He is “the fifth successive generation to live in the same house on his family’s farm”, and before his academic career, he “was a full-time orchard and vineyard grower.” He still lives on and supervises the family farm outside of Selma, in California's Central Valley. Farmers are down to earth and about the most likely of people to have their feet firmly grounded on terra firma. If VDH seems “right wing”, I’d say it’s because that side of the political aisle is much closer to reality than the radical left, which is still in charge of most of our institutions.
Today California, tomorrow what's the betting it won't be Starmer's UK. To be fair the UK has already endured far worse flooding than necessary due to ill conceived environmental policies
Levels flooding - 2011? - caused by Agenda 21, and the decision to stop dredging the River Parrett. Charles I hauled in Dutch engineers to make the Levels inhabitable and farmable.
Environment dept knew better... Agenda 21 of course implemented unbeknownst to the rate payer...

What a todo...
Yep, those climate activists are perfect tools.
Just like our Dear Leader.

Yes. Neglect can be abuse, and usually is.

All true. 👍

Again, thanks for this fine article!

Talking of the floods (at home) Daniel
1. Keeping the drains cleaned and cleared of muck and rubbish would alleviate much of the problem. Councils have drastically cut back on doing this.
2. If you don't or ARE NOT ALLOWED to dredge rivers that silt up...........
3. That's it.

Don’t forget Ranked Choice Voting which springs from the loins of these liberal idiots as they try to assure their lock on power…
Yes. They have to corrupt the system for permanent rule because ordinary people reject their madness.
