You are absolutely correct in that. My ex-husband is Jewish and so my children half Jewish and my late brother's wife was Israeli and therefore I have had a lot of friendship within English Jewish and Israeli circles. First up - most are atheist! That was a surprise to me. Secondly, they are invariably left wing (which goes hand-in-hand with atheism in my experience). I think my ex-husband was the only Jewish person I knew who voted Conservative and latterly Reform, even though he's also atheist. They have a very collectivist mentality - kibbutz brain I call it. I suppose it stems from thousands of years of persecution and diaspora - they group together for safety and ALWAYS follow the crowd. Safety in numbers is their mantra. For example, they are all jabbed to the eyeballs with the doom potion. I even had my local rabbi telephone me to 'encourage' me (fruitlessly) to join the jabathon. It's not done to swim against the tide.
Now, the problem comes with the children of my boomer friends - instilled with the leftist creed, they are swimming with that tide and turning against Israel, much to the dismay of their parents, many of whom had family murdered in the holocaust and for whom Israel was always the guarantee of safety if the shit ever hit the fan again in whichever country they found themselves. The children are globalist and naive. There is a lot of inter-generational argument on this topic.
If I were eloquent enough to have put this to words I could not of written it any better!! Muscular Christianity is our only way forward else we have lost. I$lam is a cancer that the Crusades didn’t eradicate… look where the West is now. The enemy is on our doorstep, it’s in our porch, it’s coming over the fence!
Thanks Bob. Yes. I firmly believe now that only the kind of self belief we had when Christianity was ascendant and unashamed, only a Deus Vult attitude or at least the same self belief the West still possessed in the 19th century at the height of colonialism, is the way forward today.

It pains me to agree with you over the stance the west takes regarding it's identity and values.
I imagine and hope that in my lifetime I'll see the kind of determination in the west as shown by Israel.
Farage has said he will not engage in mass deportations of people hostile to the UK and even says "we'll lose" if we alienate the Muslim community who grow by 75% every 10 years. I'm not sure why he's taken this stance, but it sours my hope in Reform to do what's necessary to restore self respect and belief in the UK. While there are young upcoming voices in Reform which disagree with Nigel on this point, it remains to be seen if they are able to exert their influence sufficiently getting him to change his mind on this .
The thing is, though, that "we" would throw them all out, stop funding their wars, insist that anyone here at least spoke our language and adopted our customs. "We" are not in charge. "We" took our eye off the ball and are now mere bystanders to the game. "We" frigging well need to rise up and cause our own bit of trouble.
