The great thing about Trump is that he did not compromise his principles - he stayed MAGA. He converted traditional Democrats to the movement. He didn't move away from it towards them.
I've just had my Reform branch chairman asking me to carry on helping the local campaign - after I resigned! I said not until Rupert Lowe is leader of the party. Also zero embarrassment that despite standing for Reform in the last local elections, I did not pass the 'Hate not Hope' (sic) vetting procedure to stand this time! The fact that they are using this left wing, Soros funded outfit to vet candidates tells you all you need to know. Controlled opposition. Globalists.
Well said, and yes, as soon as you involve organisations like Hope Not Hate you are signalling to anyone who knows a damn thing that you are controlled opposition and utterly useless.
As I was reading your post, I was thinking, why not use the Trump coalition example, and you hit it towards the end of your post. I am sure the British politics and the history of parliamentary, multiparty system makes it more complicated.
It is more complicated in the UK, but the way the example of Tory failure and Trump success is being ignored by all the ‘professionals’ shows how stunningly out of touch they are. It’s especially idiotic for Reform to recruit Tory CCHQ idiots and offend Populist core supporters and external potential allies like Musk, because Trump has a,ready shown them how to build an anti Globalist movement.
I wonder if distaste for Trump blinds people to his populist coalition and his commitment to MAGA. He has shown how it can be done. Is Farage courting the Muslim vote? It’s disappointing to see an open goal ( politically speaking ) to be squandered.

We need a real populist patriotic party!

Excellent commentary
Thanks John, I thought you deserved the praise at the start. 😉
So Reform is becoming a trap crop for the Tories. A trap crop is used in farming to lure damaging pests away from valuable crops.
