Excellent as always. I cannot tell you how much I empathise with your frustration. We truly are in a battle for common sense and reason, one of the few anchors of our humanity which remains. Woke ideology casts evil spells of confusion which brings to mind a quote by Thomas Sowell 'the problem isn't that Johnny can't read. The problem isn't even that Johnny can't think. The problem is that Johnny doesn't know what thinking is; he confuses it with feeling'

Thanks Patricia. It is exceptionally frustrating because you constantly have to go back over things that are obvious. Great Sowell quote too.

If as claimed, Trump truly made damning comments praising Hitler's generals and deriding a dead US servicewoman, and if as claimed audio tapes truly exist to prove it, why have they not been released? We were told that the so-called "pee tapes" existed, but they have yet to be released either. And so far, the only audio we've ever had for any claim they've ever made shows that Trump has said something different to what they reported, e.g. "inject bleach", or "very fine people on both sides."

The same so-called journalist, working for the same publication, used the same source, at the same stage in the last election cycle to make claims about things Trump has said about service members, and this time, like last time, dozens of witnesses (except one, his source) are unable to corroborate it. But it's so simple... just release the tape. Let us hear the audio. Why has this not been done?

Because it is bollocks.

Goldberg claimed years ago he was going to back up one of his earlier smears with evidence. He never did. It’s always hearsay from people already working against Trump and it’s always contradicted by everyone else there when the comment was supposed to have occurred. There’s just one guy that is the source of all the insulting the military claims and he’s again someone recruited to work against Trump years ago.

Thank you for such an excellent exposition of the situation. Having just spent yesterday evening with some old European friends, I was astonished at their expressed level of hatred for Trump, quoting all the latest “nazi” slurs as if they were facts all the while approving the actions of the new Labour govt. in the Uk. Impossible to get such people to step outside their “belief”systems.

Expand full comment

It’s such programmed delusion and projection. Every single comment they use to claim Trump is a Nazi is hearsay from a confirmed enemy of Trump. Meanwhile multiple Democrat actions and affiliations which are NOT hearsay are far, far more damning, as of course is the behaviour of the UK Labour Party.

Brilliant article - it is funny how not only are they calling Trump a NAZI but they claim Israel is also a NAZI state. I’ve read the most outlandish comments on different articles, from those desperate to believe their own lies, that Zionists colluded with Hitler (personally btw) so ensure the state of Israel would be created after the war. The challenge with this is … you can’t debate stupid!

Yes the Israelis Are Nazis lie has to be just about the dumbest, most deluded, most patently ridiculous offering ever ventured by brain dead fanatics-it manages to top the Trump is a Nazi one. But of course these people don’t care about the meaning of words and don’t care how absurd they are, any more than they care about Palestinians or other groups they favour. All they care about really is destroying the western world, claiming power and keeping power.

How to we defeat people democratically who you can’t debate with because they continuously change the definition of words throughout a debate to make their points? People who have no interest in finding a common truth and wish to do nothing but prove their ideology is correct?

This book, "The Hitler within," by psychotherapist/priest Max Picard, made exactly this point and it was briefly popular in Germany after WW2, but then we decided to forget, instead of reflect, and the sales of the book tanked...

Everyone who remembers Hitler or Stalin are dead so they are now merely historical figures to be used in any way you like. 10 years ago, no teenager in the UK could spot a Jewish person, had no idea what a Jewish name looked like (Jeff Goldblum - how do you know he's Jewish?). They could all spot a Muslim because of the various terrorist things going on. Now they all hate Jews and love Muslims. The power of propaganda eh? As for Trump Derangement Syndrome - how weird is that? Generally suffered by Covidians though.

The Hollow Man: Trump’s Sad Little Masquerade of Manhood

Behind the bluster and red hats lies a brittle brand of masculinity—a hollow charade that cloaks cowardice, denial, and failure.

This sounds like it might be a little bit of projection…

I still await the day when people posting hatred of Trump realise their own faults. Perhaps I shall have to wait forever. It really is extraordinary how angry an entire class became when ordinary people wanted to choose something different and a person who offered a real alternative to the failed consensus of decline and corruption.

But I get it. It’s not just about hating Trump. It’s about hating those ordinary people too, especially if they happen to be men. How DARE they disobey their social betters!

That the people who tried to malign Trump as an antisemite because of Charlottesville turned around and exploded in massive overt Jew hatred is so galling that there are no words.

And there was silly old me thinking that Christianity had killed more people than the Ottomans or Islamists.

Oh well, maybe someone wiser than I can count the consequences of the Crusades, the Religious Wars in Europe, the burning of witches, and the enslavement and slaughter of indigenous peoples in Africa and Latin America that were sanctioned by the church .

But, hey: "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition"!
