How can Britain be at risk when there are so many fearless Islamist dragon fighters that have been imported to defend the hapless country? It is wonderful that the government has already made provision to deal with an imminent medieval threat by promoting medieval civilization!

He really is that daft, isn't he?

Well, I suppose a nation that cashed in Winston Churchill for Atlee, is capable of idiocy on a grand enough level to have elevated Queer Keir to lead them to ruin.

True. One of the greatest blunders any electorate has ever made.

Good one, Jupplandia, but is this satire? It’s just with things the way they are these days in the UK, when you read some wild and crazy thing that Starmer has done, it’s really difficult to tell whether it’s outrageous over the top satire or something incredibly stupid that he actually has done. I’m guessing this one is satire, but I dunno, I could be wrong.

They are almost beyond satire now. I do these type of pieces now and then but really the siruation is deadly serious. It’s just incredibly absurd at the same time.

I read a post about how The Alien Files were to be released and Elon Musk was going to appear before Congress with a special guest. I thought, "Man, that's weird."

I didn't quite believe it but I didn't quite doubt it.

“Put almost anything in front of him that’s fictional and he will believe it’s real. … Climate Change and so forth. We didn’t even have to introduce him to Greta. He got there all by himself …”

And today in the wake of the Trump tariff furore, Starmer has vowed to be “pragmatic” on Net Zero. He has magnanimously announced that elite British carmakers including Aston Martin and McLaren will no longer need to stop selling petrol and diesel cars by 2030. Unfortunately, he doubled down on his wider support for the zero-carbon agenda, saying that he wanted the UK to “win the race” when it comes to renewable energy and green technologies of the future. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/04/07/politics-latest-news-starmer-speech-trump-tariffs-trade/

Just like his Uniparty predecessor Sunak and the others before him, being properly pragmatic on Net Zero such as scrapping it altogether is beyond Starmer’s pay grade. Isn’t it odd that he treats Trump’s pragmatic tariff regime as the apocalypse yet is determined to push through Net Zero which is certain to lead to the ruination of the economy to the severe detriment of the people of this country but apparently very beneficial to the globalist overlords who are calling the shots.

Trump’s initiative has made Starmer’s treasonous behaviour even more obvious.

Yes, and how typical that his new found pragmatism essentially just lets a couple of luxury elite companies off the hook while the rest of us still suffer the madness.

Totally believable. This is the insanity of our government: believe a truanting teenager’s climate knowledge over well respected scientists.

Well, I certainly hope the prime minister has contacted Christian Bale to lead the Resistance to the Wrath of the Dragons. He has all the experience needed, not only in defeating impressive dragons but also, of course, being the true Batman. It's unfortunate that he's a white bloke from Bournemouth but he has appeared in documentaries set in foreign, exotic and worthy lands. (I can't remember the name of the dragon-killing documentary but the dragons were fabulous and the Americans rocked up with Matthew McConnaughy in charge - what's not to like?)
