That is so incredibly accurate and once you put those words to it so obvious. And in the wake of all that we have millions of sheep teetering on the edge of mental illness. The ones who still think they're being told the truth instead of recognizing the propaganda.

Thanks Kay. It really is amazing how there is that consistent refusal of awareness still after Trump, Brexit and COVID.

As an American reader, I greatly appreciate the education about what is happening across the pond and the humor with which you present it. Well done and thank you.

Disturbing. I have long regarded the 1956 “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” as the greatest parable ever told, but now I have to ponder whether “evil” is so mindless that I can’t even call it diabolical. Satan and Iago are at least understandable . . . .

I think it always functions as a combination of the two-the deliberate and the mindless. Either single element is more easily defeated. When they unite, they consume everything.

Good article! So, having identified the problem - The Worldwide Blob - where is the solution? Where is the Jeyes Fluid to dissolve it? Anyone who gets into the system whilst thinking that's the way to fight it simply gets absorbed and assimilated. Anyone who refuses to join in ends up monologuing on YouTube or writing/reading interesting articles on Substack! How to actually rise up and overthrow the whole system across the world whilst not involving any bloodshedding - that's the question!

Yes it is. The big difference for the other side was when they got money backing them (both the State money tsps and seducing billionaires and business). We need billionaires on our side funding resistance-and they have pushed Musk into our arms. The rest depends on whether we have any power-if you happen to possess that, you have to use it ruthlessly for our side. Copy their tactics and success. If you don’t have any power it’s more about resisting in ways they can’t punish, being a living example, always challenging the lies etc. Get as much self reliance and disconnect from the system as you can. My next book is finished and due out next year, and it’s all about things ordinary people can do to resist.

I have just finished reading The Plot by Nadine Dorries. A fascinating read and painted Boris in a very favourable light. Not so Gove and the others behind the scenes. A must read.

I liked Boris. I can't stand him now. But the people who ousted him were worse.

A masterful description of the Brexit betrayers... Since these snakes have got away with their treason, I hope Speccie readers will remember to make their feelings known in their comments as often as possible.

In my view, this is a well-written article, but almost entirely one sided. To examine the roots of the Brexit movement, it is important to study British political history, not just recent events. The Eurosceptic movement was founded by socialists - notably Tony Benn, Michael Foot, and Barbara Castle, but has plenty of followers on the more recent Left such as Jeremy Corbyn.

And most importantly. it was the Red Wall seats of Old Labour that switched to UKIP and the Brexit Party, and now vote in large numbers for Reform.

If ever there is a film made about a man who gradually realizes that his constant betrayals aren’t the clever machinations he imagined....

He probably has a picture of himself in the attic which is slowly degrading and corrupting over time.......

This article is a gross and exact plagiarizing of my thoughts on the 'Slithy Gove' Daniel.

Thank you for putting them into words as succinctly as you did! ;o)

Lewis Carroll was prescient in composing the portmanteau word meaning 'lithe and slimy'

It describes the little backstabbing rat to a tee.

As the editor of the Speccy it will gift a platform for further outgrabings by the little Mome Rath as he gyres and dissembles in the wabe......
