Very well said 👏🏻 Satanism is indeed the inversion of Christianity, as Budde so ably demonstrates.
The Church is full of apostates who hijack it for their own ends, apart from the fact that the hierarchy, with its trappings of luxury, demonstrates that a few animals are very much more equal than others. Pretty sure that is not the example of Jesus.
I would love her to read this. I think you should post it to her but correct the typos first. You never know she might read it. My daughter has often said "I wish there was actually a 'red pill' that you could make people take and then watch their minds explode as they experience total reality and realise what deluded shits they are"
The "barmy bishop" (as Douglas Murray referred to her) is too self-reverential to get it that if some people are "scared" it's more than likely because of people like her -- scare-mongers -- and the false premises and catastrophizing implications behind misplaced pleas, such as "have mercy on them," as though Mr. Trump has ordered them burned at the stake or something.
Fantastic hard hitting essay! Very insightful regarding both the Episcopal and Church of England takes on Christianity. I.e., not Christianity but some other cult parading around as if it were Christianity. Great stuff as per usual!
Thanks very much. The Anglican/Episcopal Church/s have become grotesque. It’s very sad. These should be the shields of our culture, and instead they are controlled by Marxists.
I take it that neither you nor Trump grew up imagining that you would become Defenders of the Faith. Stranger things have happened in the long history of this faith. Perhaps this bishop should take a stroll on the Road to Damascus.
True. To be honest I can’t stand many other atheists, especially the famous ones. I’d strongly support a Christian church led by traditionalists instead of Marxists. People like Bishop Budde disgust me though. It’s so dishonest to claim Christian faith when you worship other things.
First, before I join in all the positive reviews in the comments I ask permission to re-publish this best of all the Bishop Budde pieces I have seen as a post on my Substack, Admiral's Log, with proper attribution, of course. As you know, as you are on my blog list, I have published a couple of pieces of my own about what this Bishop of my own Church did in disgracing herself and the Church Tuesday morning in "dressing down" the President of the United States to his face on an intrenational stage for no good reason other than, as you say, bringing attention to her favorite causes-herself and LGBTQ- with little or nothing to do with Jesus Christ or Christianity. I want the world to see this solid, common sense, back to basics, essay on this embarrassment to thisEpiscopal Church. This should be on every social media platform out there-- who knows? She might read it although I doubt strongly it would make the slightest difference in her view that Orange Man is Bad (or a blasphemist as she came close to calling him after the riots in DC when he stood in front of St. John's Church with a Bible in his hand) but my real hope is, naive though it surely is, that some of my liberal friends from whom I have heard praising her grace, etc., etc., and courage just might have at least a glimmer of a second thought aboout her "heroism" in that disgraceful moment at the pulpit. By the way, I have seen several articles indicating that she is married to a man and has two sons; I have been unable to find any current information and if anyone has anything further to offer on that score I would like to see it in order to be prepared against the onslaught surely to come if any of us make a mistake in our commentaries about the Bishop. Bravo! on a superb piece of writing. Please let me have your permission to distribute it on my blog. Thank you and Godspeed. Jim George
I told my husband this morning to buckle his seat belt, Daniel's going off on Bishop Budde. You have not disappointed, either! Furthermore you called it exactly right. This woman (I think) is no Christian that I can see, but rather serves the Father of Lies. She's his handmaiden (there's that word again). Remember, Satan always turns God's truth on it's head. Completely upside down. We need to route these imposter's out of the church and public life all together, and exposure is the way to do it.
This article is not “great”, this is a CS Lewis level dissertation on Christianity and its role in modernity. The fact you manage to deliver it with humility, and so eloquently without the gift of faith — to defend a body of knowledge and belief without sharing it — reveals once again that God moves in mysterious ways.
Many of us have been watching the rise of pedophilia, homosexuality and abortion over the last four years, and realized we were no longer confronting a political movement. Mankind has long had all three, yet for 2,000 years Christianity has NEVER moved to legalize the sexual enslavement of children, their surgical destruction for sexual fetish, much less their murder in to the ninth month of pregnancy.
We have never had a licit religious leader of any faith argue they were virtuous.
The rise of each, combined with ominous government punishments for protesting their obvious malignity, marked the last four years as a time of pure evil. Not politics.
Daniel, you have spoken truth with a clarity and reserve unseen even in most Christian pulpits. You deserve thanks and prayers for this effort.
You have mine. And I am sure those of many other Christians across the Communion. Yours is a profound piece of writing.
Thank you very much William, that’s very high praise. I’m an ardent admirer of CS Lewis so it’s very flattering to hear such a comparison. The Screwtape Letters is one of my favourite texts.
You are totally right on the evils you list. That the churches have been at the forefront first of sheltering the behaviour of child abusers and then of advancing an LGBTQ+ agenda and movement which includes defenders of child abuse and bestiality, is horrific.
I have reached the conclusion though that abusers and activists in the Christian faith are there precisely because a Christianity free of their influence was the strongest defence against them. Marxists delight in capturing citadels of tradition just as Satanists know how to deploy Christian imagery and language.
Dare I say this, the Mainline Prot Churches are all circling the drain with ever shrinking memberships while Evangelical Christian, Bible based churches are ever increasing numbers. The reason? In the early 2000s these churches abandoned the Bible, kicked Jesus to the curb and focused on the “social gospel” instead of actually “doing what He says” to paraphrase Blessed Mother at Cana.
One of the most sweeping changes was ordaining women. And thus you end up with self righteous screeching harpies like “Bishop” Budde. I was a Methodist in the early 2000s having left behind my atheist and Unitarian background. I was also involved with the local Episcopal Cathedral. The rise of female “priests” was in its infancy. But almost immediately these denominations were feminized. The focus was not on our salvation and avoiding sin but on women’s rights (abortion) and gay rights.
I became Catholic in 2005 as a result my complete disgust with Mainline Protestant denominations. Female “pastors”. Focus on immigrants. Howling support for abortion. Gay marriage. None of these ideas bear any resemblance to the teaching of Christ.
“Bishop” Budde exemplifies their complete disdain for the Supernatural. It’s all about her, her genitals and what she does with them. She is the Anti-Mary, the opposite of feminine. Yes she is not masculine. She is just the worst of both worlds
I agree. The reason the UK is largely secular and our churches are empty is because of this kind of leftist activism having taken over all our churches-it just happened here much earlier. Nobody wants to follow a faith that doesn’t believe in itself, that just puts a few Christian trappings on stupid modern ideas and a few Satanic ones.

Thanks. I think the way they have hijacked Christianity for BLM, LGBTQ+, Ukraine, Open Borders and even Big Pharma is utterly sick.

Thanks Patricia. I’d love to have her read it. I’ve also corrected a few typos. I only put them in out of humility, of course. 😉
Superb, Daniel!. And thank you!

Thanks and yes, they have created the fear, not Trump.

I would have said “PRANCING around,” but yes, it is the incredible shrinking church.
I take it that neither you nor Trump grew up imagining that you would become Defenders of the Faith. Stranger things have happened in the long history of this faith. Perhaps this bishop should take a stroll on the Road to Damascus.

You have my permission to copy my piece. Go ahead. 😀😀

Thanks Cara, and yes getting them out of positions of authority in the church and elsewhere is vital.

Whew!
Hear! Hear! Well said!
Here here, my hat is off to you
Jupplandia publishes some of the most in depth and exquisitely communicated essays you can't find elsewhere. Daniel is a true wordsmith.
Thanks very much Vickie, that’s great to hear! 😀😀

Big Tits!
It’s time to end the prejudice. 😂😂
Super article! Many thanks.
Well said.
Hatred makes people stupid. She's a perfect example.
