I see it as the English rebelling quietly and amusingly. How to deflate the egos of the champagne socialists and antifa twats? Laugh at the them. When I was younger and there were still people alive who remembered Oswald Mosley, the sentiment was that Hitler would have never got to power in England because the English would have laughed at him. Like they laughed at Mosley and his cut-price Mussolini impersonation. I thought we had lost that. The flags show we haven't. Down but not out, it would seem, not by a long shot. I'm looking forward to the raising of the stakes!

The time to laugh has past, foreigners are being paid public money to take down your nations flag and you’re still backing down. It’s just cop out after cop out from cowards….

As Rudyard Kipling put it...

"It was not part of their blood,

It came to them very late

With long arrears to make good,

When the English began to hate.

They were not easily moved,

They were icy willing to wait

Til every count should be proved,

Ere the English began to hate."

(from "The Beginnings" 1917)

So, patience my friend, patience. They are stirring.

Funnily enough, I think this is one of those times when the Irish and the English need to work together to regain their historic lands. We effete English have relied for many years on the brawn of the Celts!!!!

Jupplandia's avatar

The English aren’t effete, and have historically had plenty of brawn of their own. I agree though that English and Irish patriots have something in common dealing with the betrayal of them by globalist elites.

Hahaha! I'm English! I know full well the English aren't effete! It is, though, a bit of a stereotype to portray English officers being like Harry Flashman!

I hate the way the relationship between our isles is portrayed. It’s really woke history. We have always worked together and intermingled for probably millennia yet some how woke fools portray the Irish as some sort of feeble minded poor slaves when the truth of the matter is always more complex. Overwhelmingly positive and happy is my take.

Stuffysays's avatar

I agree! The Irish are really just cousins over a rather choppy sea! Hardly feeble minded - all those great writers is not exactly what you'd expect from a feeble minded country!!! It is, of course, a history written to suit the authorities rather than the history lived by the people.

Great on so many levels. Symbols always matter. I have become a big fam on Vere Lynn since Covid times. Originally her song We'll Meet Again but later the patriotic songs of WW2 including The White Cliffs of Dover and then There Will Always Be An England. Lets hope the English people will make sure that the latter song is a statement of fact and not a relic of better days that are no more. This is not a one month or one year battle. And the battle will not be won without perseverance and action. America should pay very close attention to what has occurred to date and what happens next .

Thanks very much. At the same time, I’d like more people in England to pay attention to the US and understand that Trump and MAGA is the template to follow in restoring sanity, if it can still happen in the UK.

My California friends visiting us in South Carolina, immediately notice at least 50% houses displaying our country’s flag - every day and not only on national holidays. Our blue states show it at least on holidays.

I guess I must have seen a picture of the Union Jack on the internet yesterday and it got me thinking that you hardly see British flags in England. I’m a Brit living in New Orleans and we display the American flag everywhere. We have one on our house and so do a lot of our neighbors. It’s a coincidence to see this article this morning.

Don't get me wrong - I am very pleased to see this happening, but people do need to understand that although the 'red cross flag' has been used by us for centuries, it is the (oxymoron phrased) "Judeo-Christian" symbol for a mythical foreigner saint and a replacement for the real flag of England - the White Dragon battle flag - and btw the real patron saint of England is King Edmund, the martyr.

I love the White Dragon flag and the Fighting Man flag that was Harold II’s standard. As a fan of the Anglo-Saxons I’m also aware of our earlier patron Saint. That said, I like the flag of St George as well. Enough good English heroes have followed that one to give it my respect.

I love this act of defiance. But, as I noted over at JIP, would it not be far more effective to hang the Labourite council traitors from lamp posts than the flag of St. George? And, while you're at it, get rid of that joke of a King you have (remember the fate of Eddie II?) and find a King who will do to the Saracens what Richard the Lionheart did to Saladin's satanic horde.

The most effective step now would be for a hundred men and women to show up at the beach and rip up the boats with knives. When they get sentenced to 20 years they should tell the judge "We are not worried, we know the UK's own Bastille Day is coming soon."

Astounding!

Lord Dale of Vince, Marquis of Stroud in Gloucestershyre, knows that SDC (Stroud District Council) is a cut above the next door Cotswolds Disctrict Council, which is an area of outstaaaaaaanding natural beauty. Few apart from residents of Stroud in Gloucestershyre know this, including the cattle.

As for the building, it is the HQ of Cooo-eeeeTricity.

Yes, according to Lord Dale of Vince, Stroud in Gloucestershyre is the windmill OG.

Stroud in Gloucestershyre is not knowingly twinned with Gaza.

Yes I made an error on the town and have just corrected it. I have been there though and it’s a posh area, compared to where I’m from.

Stroud was a wealthy market town more than a century ago, but is now dwarfed by Cheltenham and Gloucester. Oddly the trio think they will be a 'power house' but I am sure this idea has zero weight outside of North Gloucestershyre.

Lord Vince of Dale is quite the local hero of Stroud, in Gloucestershyre, since this was the launch pad of his wealth.

Noticing that about 40% of YouTube reels seem to be promoting the 'raise the flag' protests in the UK, which I of course support 1000%. Such an encouragement. Also, an outlaw biker, one Chris Hargreaves, has launched a nationwide initiative called "The Shield" as a grass roots organization to ensure protection of women and children. That seems to be taking off quite nicely. The good and true of the UK are far from down and out and I salute them for their "Spirit of 1940."
