It used to be said, to encapsulate the infuence of the US, that when the US sneezes it is Britain which catches cold. This should be updated to when the US gets the 'flu Britain develops pneumonia as a warning to us for what is heppening in the US is deeply worrying and way more than just sneezing. It is a portent for the UK.
To see the future look into our school playgrounds for a glimpse of what is coming. Immigrant children raised to honour their parents' homelands and culture by teachers who denigrate English history will become a majority.
"During the Biden term the federal government and a network of NGOs, charities and Democrat linked organisations, including churches, had deliberately opened the borders and encouraged mass illegal immigration into the US. The border was not being defended. It was being subverted, in a completely planned and conscious manner."
As Harington noted over four centuries ago, 'For it treason doth prosper, none dare call it treason." This is treason on such a vast scale and few believe it, But it clearly is treason against a nation and its own citizens. And treason - the most serious and heinous crime against a nation and its people - has always been punished in the sternest of terms - except for now. Now it is celebrated and those who remonstrate against it are mocked. Only when treason is punished - by public execution - will it be taken seriously. Instead, we have open treason in our streets. and athletes such as the deplorable Eileen Gu, who whores for the ChiCom mafiosi, are feted. We will all pay a steep price for this. Biden and his entire criminal cabal should all be in the dock.
Obama is winning( the arch enemy of American sovereignty). How many American college students give a rats ass about sovereignty? Same for kids in high school today? Why would they when they have been taught from previous school that it is important to be a good global citizen and that America ( and Israel by the way, the two true champions if sovereignty) are the obstacles to world peace, kumbaya and of course utopia. Our largest cities are pretty much gone in this battle of attrition by indoctrination and suffocating conformity. Part of the problem when it comes to immigration and border matters is that millions of Americans ( over 35, and predominantly in large cities, again) see America as being so rich that, if only we had enlightened leadership, that wealth can ( AND MORALLY SHOULD) be used to eliminate all of our ( and the world's poverty etc) and that America and its wealth truly belong to the world. I have heard it so many times over the years and that was the primary subliminal message during halftime from the guy who loves his crotch ( a lot more than he does "his" country). And millions fully agreed
Very true, and you’ve given some clarity there. Many Americans are a little complacent about how advanced it is in the US. Owning guns doesn’t stop your kids being indoctrinated. But so many Americans I talk to still don’t realise that you’re in almost as bad a position as we are.
TDS has no cure. The other day my wife asked a good friend ( who is brilliant and also conservative) about TDS. She had never even heard of it. Other friends ( on the left ) thought the half time show was thd best ever. Imagine if we ever had a real Depression.
Borders are not symbolism. They are the line between order and chaos. If a president wins on enforcement and then appears to blink, opponents escalate. That is political gravity. The lesson from crime policy applies here: visible retreat invites visible defiance. Deportation policy is hard, messy, and legally contested. But if federal law becomes optional in practice, every future mandate weakens. The real danger is not one stalled operation. It is the normalization of resistance to lawful authority. Secure borders can coexist with due process and humane standards. What cannot coexist is selective enforcement driven by intimidation and political theater.
I wish it were obvious to all that deportations are part of the fabric, always have been, and that this hysteria is merely to discredit Trump. I'm frankly gobsmacked by how irrational so many are over this matter. I just read a newsletter by a woman going on about how she lived in Minnesota, these are working people! The bread and butter of the nation! SUPPORT MINNESOTA!
Then yesterday there was ICE WATCH propaganda on the counter at the coffee shop across the street. I couldn't help myself: on the email asking how was my experience I clicked on the frown face. Yes indeedy. I explained that anti-law enforcement propaganda should not be shoved in customers' faces. (PS Keep your ignorance to yourself).
This anti-Ice is defund the police 2.0 and THAT was REALLY stupid.
I'm currently reading The Attention Merchants On Pg. 53 it notes that the first advertising agencies became a machine for mass attention capture. Their campaigns were unending and exhaustive. They solved the problem of disenchantment this way: "as soon as one approach stopped working, a new one would be launched." Currently we have had "don''t shoot!", BLM, many other in sequence and now anti-ICE. By defusing anti-ICE Trumps hopes for the disenchantment to set in.
Check out this video from Minneapolis where local police are finally allowed by local government to help ICE by dispersing what has gone from “protest” to “unlawful assembly” with arrests (and pizza… and dildos…)
President Trump did not "soften" his approach and enforcement, he "softened" the rhetoric and got cooperation from MN officials and no longer needed the extra personnel to arrest and deport the illegals in MN.
No, it was a visible sign of cooperation. It was defined and Homan described the draw down and why.
I do not know why you will not see it the way it was presented and explained. Confirmation bias, as you want to think Trump is a "softie", or that he backs down from a fight?
The softer way is to enforce withholding of benefits of immigration, even to the extent of employment. While this will wait a bit, I expect to see it more past November.
Also, criminal illegals will flock to places where they are protected, setting up for a situation that has long been coming.
Lie in the bed you've made for a bit, and it will cause more law and order.
Not in the face of a US citizen insurrection. That image will kill any conservative electoral advantage. It's too likely to cause more deaths. These folks are crazy.
With deportations elsewhere where their isn't an anti-ICE mob, the media will hide it and we will never see.
People in the US are smart enough to see if illegals are less prevalent, so it doesn't matter how you succeed in doing it.
The less sob stories the better. And since we have a problem with low wage employers anyhow, there will be little feeling for their pain. Just run some stories about how they now have to pay their now US citizen employees more.
Not because I agree -- but because you lay a finger on that for which I was waiting: That those benefits benefit those who manage and distribute them and those with whom they are sent more than they benefit those who actually receive them.
Well of course that is true. I'd add that increasing labor cost in the US will cause some pain to us all, but we need to accept that to function in an "American Way" we need to pay real wages and stop taking advantage of immigrants and citizens alike.

I think we are already there. It’s virtually a criminal offence to honour our own ancestors.

I totally agree. Ever since McCarthy was destroyed nobody has take treason seriously, and that’s why we are where we are.

Very well said Richard. Correct on every point.

The propaganda has been very successful, which is why acting against it is necessary. And yes, it’s very like defund the police, only worse.
Excellent post!
I've never understood the woke hive-mind, and fear it is worse than I believed.

Softening the rhetoric matters, and he didn’t just do that. Withdrawing 700 ICE agents is a visible sign of defeat, not success.
No, it was a visible sign of cooperation. It was defined and Homan described the draw down and why.

So glad that he did not cave to this bullhorn. That's like giving in to a toddler tantrum.
Trump is the ultimate old school patriarch. That's why I pulled the lever for him.
Exactly.

I think withholding benefits is an obvious snd necessary measure. But visible deportation is vital.
